Community members are invited to enjoy an afternoon of family fun while making a meaningful difference in the lives of local students at Saco Swings Into Summer, a mini-golf fundraiser benefiting the Aid for Saco Kids (ASK) Foundation. The event will take place on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Schooner Mini Golf, located at 58 Ocean Park Road in Saco.
The fundraiser will help support the ASK Foundation’s mission of assisting students in the Saco School Department who are experiencing housing, food, or clothing insecurity. Through direct support and community partnerships, the organization works to remove barriers that can impact a student's ability to learn, participate, and thrive in school.
Schooner Mini Golf is partnering with ASK for the event and will generously donate 50 percent of all round fees collected on June 18th to the Foundation. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a basket raffle featuring prizes donated by local businesses and community partners.
"Every child deserves the opportunity to come to school ready to learn, regardless of the challenges they may be facing outside of the classroom," said Meg Parkhurst, president of the ASK Foundation and Assistant Superintendent of Saco Schools. "The Aid for Saco Kids Foundation helps meet essential needs for students and families, and events like this demonstrate the incredible generosity and compassion that exist throughout our community."
Beyond providing a fun community event, Saco Swings Into Summer helps raise awareness of the challenges some local families face and the important role community support plays in student success. Donations made through the ASK Foundation help provide students with essential needs such as clothing, food, and emergency assistance when families encounter unexpected hardships.
