Welcome to CK Burns School!

It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I greet you as the principal of CK Burns School.  I feel fortunate to have been selected to lead a building with such talented and caring staff and a community that cares deeply about the success of students both academically and socially.

Over the past twenty-nine years of my career, I have been a classroom teacher in elementary schools, supported teachers in best practices of literacy processes as a literacy coach, and served as building principal in two other elementary schools, York Elementary and Wells Elementary. In all positions, I continually strive to put students first with every decision I make.  I am determined to support the success of CK Burns by understanding the strengths of the school and fostering the school community to grow and flourish. 

My husband and I live in the town of Limington where we are raising our two daughters, Sydney and Ava.  Both girls graduated from Bonny Eagle High School and are now off studying elementary education and business management, just like their parents.  As a parent, I understand the emotions that come with sending your children off to school each day and trusting the staff to help raise and support them.  I believe that a partnership between home and school positively impacts children’s success in school and life and I intend to support that in Saco.  I look forward to forming relationships with you over the course of your child’s 3-5 elementary school career.
