A huge congratulations to SMS 7th grader, Jaxon Gauvreau, who was named Middle School Level Representative in the statewide Maine Engagement and Attendance Center (MEAC) Logo Contest — a remarkable honor that distinguishes him among middle school students across Maine.
His logo, which won for the state of Maine, titled “Rooted in Learning: Be Pine Tree Present,” reflected the spirit of MEAC’s campaign - supporting engagement, consistent attendance, and a sense of belonging in school.
The contest invited K-12 schools statewide to submit their winning local logos for consideration by MEAC; the overall statewide winner will be featured as part of the campaign encouraging students across Maine to stay engaged in school.
